Fun Free Clinic

Over the weekend Brian participated in the fun free softball/baseball clinic. He was a little shy of the girls at first, but did fine once the baseball drills started. They also played some games, and it gave him a chance to run around and get some energy out. Lily was signed up, but changed her mind at the last minute. There's another clinic next weekend that all three kids will be going to. There will be drills, games, and pizza for them to enjoy.

Lily In Performing Arts

My beautiful daughter Lily is participating in Performing Arts class in school. Her first concert was this week, and she did a great job. I'm glad she is comfortable being in front of people. All the kids did a great job, and the whole show was a lot of fun. She has another one next week.

Lakers Kick Off Hockey Season

The Lake Superior State Lakers kicked off the 2013-14 hockey season a couple of weeks ago, with an exhibition game against the USA U18 team. They dropped the game 3-2, but played well and we had a good time. They won their next 4 games to be ranked #15 in the country.

Fall Ball At LSSU

We had a treat a couple of weekends ago, when the Laker softball team held some exhibition games against Cornerstone University out of Grand Rapids. It was a great time, as I hadn't been to a live game in almost a month. The Lakers played well, especially in the second game. Brian was my buddy, and watched the games with me. He had to spend some time on the park, too.

Laker Picnic And Dinner

Before the hockey season started, the LSSU Lakers held a picnic where the kids were able to play games, throw water balloons at the players, do some time in the bouncey house, and try to get them wet in the dunk tank. We had a fun time interacting with the team. The next day, we went to their spaghetti dinner that helped earn money for the United Way. Another fun time for the 4A. Pictured is Lily and her friend Brie with one of the players.
