Whitecaps Open House

Last weekend, we grabbed Papa from Cadillac and braved the cold at the Fifth Third Ballpark for the West Michigan Whitecaps' Open House. This is the first event since the fire back in January. Brian had a great time riding the rides, while Lily and Trevor enjoyed the free hot dogs and s'mores. We were also able to get tickets to opening day and another weekend in April we'll be down for. The mascots Crash and Franky were hanging out with the fans, too. A fun time and a start to a long day!

Lakers Lose

We haven't had a lot of luck this season, as the Lakers lost once again while we were at the game. We went over right after the softball dinner. At least Brian got to hang out with the mascot for a little bit. We still had a lot of fun together, and Lily's friend Julia was able to come with us. This was probably the last Laker game we'll make it to for the rest of the season, but there's always next year.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame Dinner

I"m a little behind, but two weeks ago the kids and I attended the Lake Superior State Softball Take Me Out To The Ballgame spaghetti dinner at the college. The dinner raises money for the girls to take their trip to play some games out in California later this month. It's always good when we can support our team, and we always have fun at the event. We went to the Laker Hockey game right afterward.

Student Of The Month

Brian was named Student of the Month in Kindergarten class at Lincoln Elementary for February. He joins both Lily and Trevor, who held the honor two or three times a piece during their elementary career. The award goes to the students that are excel at using the four 'B's: Be respectful, Be safe, Be responsible, and Be ready to learn. I was able to attend the ceremony last week, also, where Brian was honored with a button and pencil for his efforts. Way to go Bri-guy!!!

Falcons Drop Another Close One

Last weekend Trevor's basketball team lost another close game, 13-12, on a free-throw. Trevor played well, though, and is doing better every week. Even the other parents are noticing how much better he's getting. We're off for a couple of weeks, but he'll be back in action two weeks from today.
