Lakers Win Over Broncos

To end another very busy weekend, we watched the Lakers beat the Western Michigan Broncos 3-2. Papa was up for the game and we had a great time together as usual. Trevor got a treat and was able to stay the night in the hotel with him. Brian wouldn't stay still long enough to get a picture with him and Papa, but we'll catch him off guard sooner or later. This was the final regular season home game for the Lakers. Not sure yet if they'll host a playoff game or not. I hope so, or this will be the last we'll see of them until next October!!!

USA, USA

More hockey for us Amigos, but only one more Laker game on our agenda unless they host a first or second round playoff game. This time LSSU beat the USA U18 team in an exhibition match. Not a big crowd, but we had a lot of fun. Lily and Trevor went off to sit with some friends, but Brian stayed with me the whole time! Good pic of him checking out the Zamboni, as this is his favorite part of the game, I think. Typical boy, he is. We're hoping to get him on skates this weekend, so that will be something worth getting pics of for sure!

Hockey Comes And Goes

The Laker hockey season came and went this year. We had a lot of fun and created a lot of memories as a family. Brian's streak ended abruptly as the Miami Redhawks came to town and spanked the Lakers 8-1. We felt better the next weekend, however, as the Lakers swept the Ohio State Buckeyes out of the first round of the playoffs. Actually, we only saw the Lakers lose two games all season which is pretty good. We might try to catch a Soo Eagles game before their season is over, too.

Lakers vs. UMD Bulldogs

Finally the Lakers start their season, and they did so taking on Minn.-Duluth in the Superior Cup showdown. The game was exciting and tied 6-6. The kids and I had a great time, and Brian was very good and will probably come to most of the games with us. I really like it when we're all together anyway. Lily hogged the camera and can credit for the good pics of Brian. She's such a good big sister. She even took Trevor to the bathroom once during the game, too, so I could keep and eye on Brian. The kids kept busy with the coloring books, crayons, and toys, but took interest in the game as well. Brian didn't like how noisy it got in the arena when the Lakers scored, but he never cried. More games for the Amigos for sure.

More Hockey For The Amigos

I felt brave and packed up all three kids for the Laker game on Sunday afternoon. All three kids were actually very good, and we had a great time watching hockey. This was only Brian's second game, but that didn't stop him from taking everything in. He didn't even really get scared when the Lakers scored and the horn went off. Top picture is of Lily and Trevor doing the 'chuck-a-puck' thing during the second period. I don't think we'll bring Brian to all of the games, but he'll get his share in this season. Lily and Trevor are just happy to be going to the games again.
