This is becoming a tradition for the Amigos, for every June now, I think. Continuing with our busy weekend, we packed up and headed to St. Ignace for the day to check out the car show. Posted here are just a few of the great pictures we were able to get today. The kids got a chance to play at the park and in Lake Michigan for a bit, too. Brian even had fun checking things out. Trevor really enjoys this event, as he's a genuine 'car guy'. Seeing these really makes my miss my Firebird, though, and I can't wait to someday get another one (once we get out of debt, of course). Lily really enjoyed the 'purple' cars and the Volkswagen bugs.

Male Bonding At The Car Show
This year it was just the boys who headed down south to the annual car show in St. Ignace. Lily decided to go to the Pow Wow with Lisa, so us guys did some male bonding and checked out some nice old cars. Trevor's favorites were the orange '69 Dodge Charger (just like the General Lee) and the Delorian (like the time machine in Back To The Future). He also liked an old tricked out school bus. My favorites of course were the Trans Am Firebirds. Maybe I can enter my Firebird in the show someday when I get the door fixed and drop a new engine in her. Oh, I can dream.

Kids Rule St. Ignace Car Show

The kids and I had a fun at this year's annual car show in St. Ignace. Evan Brian joined in on the fun (you can see the stroller to the right of the Trans Am). The kids were in awe of all of the cool old cars. Trevor, being a 'car guy', especially enjoyed himself. Unfortunately, we didn't get much into the parade before getting rained on. I wanted to get my Firebird up and running by this time, but too many other things going on. We will definitely be going again next year to see these great old cars from all over the country.
