Last 'Caps Game

A bitter-sweet end to the 2012 baseball season, we watched the West Michigan Whitecaps on last time. They were playing the Dayton Dragons. Nana and Papa made the trip with us, too, so it was extra special. We were able to get onto the field, and Brian really wanted to get a picture with mascot Crash, so that was our first priority. Lily and Trevor are getting a little too old and cool for that, so I got a pic of them in front of the 'Caps dugout. A fun day, and I can't wait until next season to start doing this all over again!!!

First Football Game

Here are some pics from Trevor's first football game of the season. He's on the blue team, #92 for the Sault Giants. His team lost this one, but they played hard and had a lot of fun. Trevor got a lot of playing time, and is starting to learn his positions well. He's doing better on the offensive line than on defense early on, but really impoves!

More Fun at the Fair

We had another great time at the fair this year. The kids always love seeing all of the animals and riding the rides. Brian was a little older this year so he was able to go on more rides with Lily and Trevor. We were also lucky enough for no rain, which is always good!  A fun way to end the summer, but I really wasn't ready for it to end...

More Birthday Bowling

It seems like bowling is the thing that Trevor likes on his birthday, so we did it again this year. He invited his friends Alec and Aidan along, too, so that was a lot of fun for him. Of course Lily and Brian came along, too. We enjoyed pizza and everyone bowled really well. Trevor got a new bowling ball for his birthday so he was able to get used to it before the youth season started.

Trevor Gets Football Fever

The end of August started Trevor's first practices in full tackle football. He's played flag football the last two years, but wanted to do tackle this year. He's playing in the 5th/6th grad league despite only being in the 4th grade himself. The practices were hard, but he did well and really liked it! Hard to describe it now with the season already over, but I'll try to post pics from each game.

STAR WARS Night In TC

This season we attended the Star Wars night events at the Traverse City Beach Bums instead of in Grand Rapids. The kids and I had so much fun, as this is one of the highlights of our summer! We got our pics taken with the characters there, but was a little disappointed that the likes of Boba Fett and some of our other favorites were not there. Can't wait for next year, and I'm thinking we'll try to make it to super hero night, too, if we can! It's now October, and I'm still about two months behind on posts, and we keep getting busier. I'll try to get caught up the best I can!!!

More Fun At Pirate's Cove

While in Traverse City, we love to stop by the Pirate's Cove for some fun. We didn't golf this time, but Brian was able to drive the kids go-karts by himself for the first time, Lily did the zip-line again, and Trevor did the water coaster with the others. We also rode on the bumper boats, and got cooled off by getting wet. Definitely more of this next summer!!!
