JUNE 17-23: This season our baseball trip took us from one end of Ohio to the next, and even into Pennsylvania a little bit. We actually started off at the Midwest League All-Star Classic in Grand Rapids. This was a great time, and we got to meet some of the players and Tigers legend Willie Horton. Our next stop was Columbus, Ohio, where we met Darryl for a Clippers game. We were able to see some of it before getting rained out. We then headed north to watch the Toledo Mud Hens, where we had great weather and a great game. Our next stop that same day, was way over in Niles, Ohio to see the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in our first experience with the NY-Penn League. The next day we went to Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Indians, and took a ballpark tour. After that we watched the Lake County Captains over in Eastlake. The next morning we drove south through Canton, Ohio, seeing the Football Hall of Fame, and ended up in Washington, PA to see the Wild Things. A straight shot north took us into Erie for a Sea Wolves game, and that was a great ballpark. We ended with a game at the Akron Rubberducks, that had a 2 1/2 hour rain delay.
